As your Senator, one of my most important responsibilities is assisting Ohioans with questions, concerns, or issues involving federal agencies. My office acts as a liaison between you and the federal government and is equipped to answer questions or help you navigate an agency’s policies, programs, and procedures. Some of the common cases my office can assist with are questions related to Social Security, Medicare, immigration, military services, veteran’s affairs, federal worker compensation claims, tax and IRS issues, passport assistance, grants, and small business concerns.

My office cannot assist with legal or court matters. If your concerns involve Ohio state agencies, I encourage you to contact your state representative or state senator.

To receive help, I will need your written permission before making any official inquiries on your behalf. To begin this process, you must first complete a Privacy Act Waiver. The Privacy Act of 1974 requires written permission before a congressional office can make inquiries to a federal agency on your behalf.

  • The following criteria must be met for my office to help you:
  • You must be a resident of Ohio
  • Your issue must involve a federal agency, not a state or local one
Your case cannot involve a pending court action
