WASHINGTON – Senator Bernie Moreno (R-Ohio) will introduce the Larry Henderson Act, which would set a new mandatory minimum sentence of 20 years in prison for anyone found guilty of assault on a federal officer. The bill is named after former Hamilton County Sheriff’s Deputy Larry Henderson, who was tragically killed in the line of duty in May 2025 while bravely serving his community.
